Below are some of the most common questions about Vinofiore, our wines, shipping, and pickup. If you've got a question that isn't answered here, email us at info@vinofiore.com.
The short answer to that question is yes, but most have far fewer sulfites than American wines. All wines contain naturally-occurring sulfites. All of our wines either have no added sulfites or minimal added sulfites. The EU is also much more strict than the USA about additives, so Italian wines tend to have far fewer sulfites and additives than New World wines.
Most of our winemakers produce wines that are certified as organic by the Italian government. However, the US does not recognize this certification, so we can't technically use the word "organic" in our advertising. We've visited the wineries and taken tours to learn about the farming practices of each winemaker, and they are all either fully organic, currently making the transition to organic, or farming as sustainably as possible.

Yes. If you've selected "local pickup," you can pick your wines up at our office at 143 Holden Beach Road, Suite 2A in Shallotte on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am-3pm. Pease bring your ID with you!
We currently ship to North Carolina, Florida, and the District of Columbia. We're adding more states soon. Please be patient with us as we explore shipping to states outside of our current service area. State-to-state alcohol shipping regulations are difficult to navigate and very, very strange.
In short, it's because interstate alcohol shipping laws are different in every state. We're working on expanding our reach. If we carry a wine you love, but we can't ship to you yet, let us know by emailing us at info@vinofiore.com. It just might help us determine which state to apply for permits in next.
We may delay your wine shipment in extreme weather to prevent damage to the wine. If the wine gets too hot or cold, it may affect the flavor and quality, and no one wants that. If your shipment is delayed and you'd like to cancel it, you may do so by logging into your account.
The delivery of alcohol requires an ID check and an adult signature. If you're not home to receive your order, the carrier will attempt delivery 2 more times before the wine is returned to us. If the wine is returned, you will receive a refund on the wine, but you will be charged for shipping both ways. If you work outside the home, we recommend shipping your wine to your place of business.
